How long is a session and how much does it cost?
Most sessions last about an hour. The charge for couples is £60 per session, and £40 for an individual. Couples sometimes have individual sessions at some point, if both people wish.
Concessions are available, dependent on resources. My aim is that clients should not be reluctant to come to counselling due to financial concerns.
There is usually a full charge for missed sessions without due notice, unless we can reschedule within the week. This is discussed in the first session. Financial arrangements can be discussed at any time.
Who can come?
Couples or individuals may attend. All are welcome regardless of ethnicity, religion, age or sexual orientation.
If the counselling seems an inappropriate choice we discuss the options fully as required.
How many sessions will it take?
The counselling will continue for as long as you feel you need. This may just be a few sessions or even one session, you may continue for 6 months or longer. Or you may want to plan a certain number from the beginning, which may be a very useful strategy. Usually we do not end without prior discussion about what you would like to do next. You will know when you have reached a good place to leave, and can return if and when you need.
